Cape Egmont Virtual Half Marathon 2020

Earlier this year, the Cape Egmont Half Marathon team made the difficult decision to hold the event virtually as a result of COVID-19 and the lockdown.
As a result, people from all over the world participated in the Virtual Half Marathon, choosing to walk or run 2.5 km, 5 km, 10 km, or the Half Marathon distance in their local neighbourhoods.
The group subsequently raised an amazing $12,000 for our Centre to go towards our Exercise groups!!!
We are so grateful to the volunteer committee: Nicola, Carol, Steven, Paige, Nick and their team for their hard work and determination to see the event through in memory of their friend, Andy. Running an event of this magnitude is never easy, and to do so during a worldwide pandemic is extraordinary.
