This event will not take place if New Zealand is in COVID-19 Alert Levels 3 or 4, or for any other reason enforced by the Government at the time.


At COVID-19 Alert level 2 event participants, volunteers and spectators will be limited to residents within Taranaki Half marathon and team event participation limited to groups of 100 (excluding official and volunteers.  Spectators will be limited to 100 people in nominated designated areas where physical distancing measures of 2 metres will be applied. Face coverings are encouraged for all people.    We will limit the amount of people in the Coastal School Gymnasium when registering.  Use of all toilets at event venues will be staggered.  The pre-race briefing will take place outside the school gym.  There will be no on the day entries.   We will stagger that start of events so that there are no more than one hundred people or less.   At the finisher’s tent competitors will be asked to be two metres away from event volunteers, we will provide a visual or physical barrier for this.  Transport back to Okato via the bus provided will still be available, but the number of people on each trip will be limited.  All passengers are asked to wear a face mask which will be provided.  Competitors and spectators will be asked to leave the finish as soon as they are able..  We will have a QR code for the New Zealand COVID-19 tracer app and a paper sign in will be available at our event locations.   We will have adequate amounts of sanitizer stations.
